This is a rich zone in history, gastronomy and nature, place of great beauty and tranquillity to rest, to do trekking, to take a walk among the nature, BTT, to do cultural and monumental visits, to visit wine cellars ... it’s very easy knowing Navarre from here. Rural House Urbasa Urederra is a house with charm. It has been recently restored and it’s well conditioned. It’s placed in Ollobarren a little and quiet village where there are 30 inhabitants. Ollobarren belongs to the pretty Valley of Metauten below the mountain range of Lókiz on the northwest of the “Ancient Kingdom of Navarre”. You can rent its 143 m2 , it’s only 10 minutes far from Estella's historical Medieval City - Lizarra, and from the Nature reserve of Urbasa Lókiz and Andía, and also it’s close to the famous and spectacular source of the river Urederra. Our Rural House is specially recommended for families with children (without forgetting your pets) and for all those people who like sport, tranquillity and nature for being an ideal place to enjoy the silence, the pure air, the mountain ... and at the same time you will be able to integrate for some days with the daily. The owners can prepare for free and in a personalized way routes and trips for Urbasa and Lókiz's nature reserves, the Source of the river Urederra and also visits around Navarre with a tourist complete information, maps etc. You’ll be able to be familiar with beautiful places that exist out of the classic tourist circuits, to discover the Medieval Estella and its history and to visit its monuments with a guide for free. From House Urbasa Urederra we offer the possibility of doing an original, unique and different Rural Tourism. For this reason we have made effort to prepare a warm, nice and comfortable house in order to enjoy your stay among us. ***************************************************** Characteristics of the Rural House Urbasa Urederra House Urbasa has a capacity of 7 beds. It’s 10 minutes far from Estella's historical medieval city, 25 minutes from Pamplona, 30 minutes from Logroño, 45 minutes from Vitoria, 1 hour from San Sebastian and 1 hour and a half from Bilbao. The house has 143 m2 distributed of the following form: It has ground floor and 2 levels. Ground floor: Hall, with table, chairs and a games room with a table football. (Place for resting and reading). First floor: Big completely equipped Kitchen, complete bathroom, 2 double rooms, (one of them with 2 beds of 90 cm) and a single room. Second floor: A double room with a sloping ceiling and a warm sitting room also with sloping ceiling of 43 m2 with table of dining room, TV of 28 " and TDT, hi-fi system, DVD with MP3, chimney, library and table’s game. The house has warm water and central heating of diesel oil; an ideal garden for families with children, equipped with furniture and a barbecue. Activities of Tourism – Agriculture foto agricultura ganado vacas Activities of Tourism – Agriculture We also offer you the possibility of doing rural tourism’s activities during yours stay in our house, like an attraction. This activity has a great acceptance especially among people who live in big cities. The activities that we offer are the following ones: Visit to one Dairy: We will see how a modern farm is, how the milking is done 2 times a day. We will have the opportunity to buy milk newly milked in the same dairy. Visits to a Farm of Veals de Navarre: Another activity that it is possible to do is visiting a veal breading farm. Navarre has a denomination of origin for the Veal breaded in our region. We will see how a farm is, how is their way of life and which is the young bulls and calf’s feeding. When they are 11 months, its meat will be sold in the butcher's shops. Visits to theTruffles of Metauten - Lókiz: Another peculiar activity that our clients will be able to do, is visiting the Truffles of Metauten and Lókiz. We will know how these famous and expensive mushrooms sprout up, we’ll be able to visit the truffles and also buy the exquisite Black Truffles of Loquiz when is the right season. Also we will be able to visit the Museum of Metauten's truffle placed 1 km far from the House Urbasa. Ecological garden of vegetables In our house we also have an Ecological Garden. Our guests will be able to taste the products of the garden according to the season for free. Navarra as an ancient Kingdom that was, it still preserves today numerous Artistic Monuments of real beauty and interest. There are other activities you can do: you have the possibility of doing trips, rambling's routes, mountain cycling, visits to beech's forests in Urbasa and Lókiz's nature reserve, some of them have an incomparable beauty. The lagoon is used as zone of resting and feeding by a crowd of birds in the period of migration, the spring and the autumn. Then groups of cranes, gooses and different kinds of birds can be observed The most common greedy bird in the lagoon is the lagoon’s Eaglet. We can find up to 200 specimens in winter and approximately 35 couples in spring. This bird is like a small eagle that used to feed on frogs, toads, mice and some other little bird.
